Nigel Wright of Onex Corporation will receive Tiffany Mark Award for his charitable activities.
Andrea Hopson, Tiffany & Co. Vice President, Canada, has announced that Nigel Wright will be the recipient of the 2005 Tiffany Mark Award to be presented at a private cocktail celebration at Tiffany's Toronto Bloor Street store on October 26th.
The Tiffany Mark Award, named after the Company's famed Mark watch, honours a man or woman who is making their "mark" professionally and in their community through tireless efforts on behalf of charities and organizations they care about deeply.
2005 honoree Nigel Wright, a Managing Director of Onex Corporation, has been actively involved in supporting a number of organizations, most notably Camp Oochigeas, the Ontario summer camp for children with cancer.
Nigel Wright is also an active volunteer with Out of the Cold and Out of the Heat, programs that offer meals and support for the homeless.
"The Tiffany Mark Award is about professional achievement and hands-on
support of a charitable organization," Andrea Hopson explains. "As we all
know, finding the time to give to community organizations and charities can be a tremendous challenge when you are committed to your career. We are proud to present the 2005 Award to Nigel Wright."
The first Tiffany Mark Award was presented to Wayne Gretzky in 2002.
