OJ Simpson's Book Banned from eBayeBay quickly cancelled auctions of O.J. Simpson's hypothetical story of how he would have killed his ex-wife.
eBay is under fire for allowing sales of OJ Simpson's book telling a hypothetical story of how he would have killed ex-wife Nicole Brown.
eBay quickly cancelled auctions of "If I Did It," O.J. Simpson's hypothetical story of how he would have killed his ex-wife. In some cases bids reached 1 million dollars.
eBay spokesman Hani Durzy said that the online auction house has been removing offers to sell purported copies of the book from the site.
The book had been initially scheduled for release November 30 after a two-part OJ Simpson's interview on Fox.
OJ Simpson, 59, was acquitted of the double murder of his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995. News Corp., owner of Fox Broadcasting and publisher HarperCollins, canceled the project after an outcry condemning it as exploitive. HarperCollins has said all copies of the book would be destroyed.
After a quick check, no copies of "If I Did It" were found in eBay auctions or stores.
