Estée Lauder has reopened its Canadian Color Innovation Center in Ontario, where it is aiming to create 50 new color shades for its cosmetics business each month.
The 28,000m² facility, which is managed by Canadian subsidiary Estée Lauder Cosmetics Ltd, will develop products for the entire ELC brand portfolio, the company said in a statement.
“Innovation is key to our company’s ongoing success and this center will be integral in creating exciting and relevant products for our important makeup category,” ELC ceo William Lauder said.
Research conducted at the center will focus on enhancing color products, including exploring ways to incorporate SPF protection, expanding shades, product finishes and application methods.
The center will also coordinate consumer testing with makeup artists working across the company’s brand portfolio.
