Sharon Stone has apologized for her remarks concerning the recent earthquake that hit China and left nearly 70,000 people dead.
In a recent interview Sharon Stone suggested that the quake was a result of bad karma over China’s treatment of Tibet.
“Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China’s earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people,” Stone said in a statement.
The 50-year-old is the face for Christian Dior skincare. LVMH-owned fashion brand says they are pulling all of their Dior China ads as a result of the comments.
“In light of Sharon Stone’s inappropriate comments and their negative impact, Dior China has decided to withdraw [her ads] immediately and stop using Sharon Stone’s image in any advertising, marketing and commercial activities,” Dior said.
