For the second consecutive year L'Oréal Canada ranks among Canada's Top 100 Employers, an annual competition which acknowledges employers nationwide with exemplary workplace environments, organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc.
The survey results are announced after over 7,500 employers were asked to complete an extensive application process, including a detailed review of operations and HR practices.
"L'Oréal has always implemented innovative human resources practices. We believe, not in filling jobs, but in developing human potential," said Pierre-Yves Arzel, President and CEO of L'Oréal Canada.
L'Oréal uses innovative techniques to reach potential recruits from around the globe and to train new employees through interactive business games.
Among the most notable is the L'Oréal E-Strat Challenge, the 6th edition is currently underway (www.e-strat.loreal.com)
Since its inception in 2000 it has provided over 93,000 students from more than 100 countries and 150 universities with the chance to gain real business experience and test their strategic thinking and entrepreneurial skill.
The new 2006 edition of Canada's Top 100 Employers will be available at bookstores across Canada on October 31, 2005.
