Brad Pitt reportedly cut newborn daughter Shiloh's umbilical cord at her birth.
Brad Pitt was by Angelina Jolie's side as she delivered their first baby together via a Caesarean section at a clinic in Namibia.
Angelina Jolie had opted for surgery because the baby girl, who weighed in at seven pounds, was in a breech position.
“Angelina underwent a scheduled caesarean due to breech presentation,” Dr Rothbart told People magazine.

The couple's obstetrician Jason Rothbart, who flew in from the US, said: "The baby was a healthy 7lb," reports People magazine, "Brad was with Angelina all the time and cut the umbilical."
According to People the hospital where Angelina Jolie gave birth, in the coastal town of Swakopmund, has nine doctors and nine nurses tending to the eight-bed obstetrics unit. In the hospital babies and mothers are staying in the same room so that they can breastfeed on demand.
“The surgery and birth went flawlessly," the doctor added, "The staff, nurses and doctors I worked with at the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital were amazing, it was a team effort.”
