Rachel McAdams' role in The Time Traveler's Wife spans several decades and the Canadian-born star says she particularly loved getting the chance to play a teenager.

Rachel McAdams said: "It was fun to be 16 again. We spent a lot of time talking about the hair and the clothes and the make-up. "

 

Rachel was astonished by the work of the make-up artists on the movie but admits it sometimes took her by surprise.

She added to CinemaSpy.com: "We worked with such talented people. My make-up artist would change my face with just a brush stroke. I looked at myself in the mirror one day and I didn't realize that we were filming the older Claire and I said, 'I look a little haggard.' And they said, 'Don't worry, it's paint.' "
