Paris Hilton's new toy dog, a tiny Pomeranian called Marilyn Monroe, was a gift she received on the streets of Korean capital.

They eat dogs in Korea, actually. So the pooch was lucky.

Anyway.

Paris Hilton was walking past a pet store when a man ran out with a tiny wriggly present.

According to Paris herself, "Some guy gave me her for free. He said, 'I really want to give you this dog. It would be an honor.'

"So I said, 'OK! Can I bring her back to America?'" San Francisco Chronicle reports.

 

In 2007 Paris Hilton announced her support of vegetarianism and her opposition to wearing fur.

So it's actually very appropriate for her to save cute little dogs from a frying pan.

Even though the pooch may not get US entry clearance. How thoughtful of Paris to ask!
