Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron slapped with a lawsuit from Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil for wearing a Christian Dior timepiece during a media appearance last year.
The contract between Charlize Theron and Raymond Weil puts the actress under an obligation to wear the company's watches exclusively from October 2005 to December 2006.
Charlize was not allowed to put on any other timepiece during that period.
The court papers filed on Monday state that Charlize Theron, 31, was also the face of a Dior perfume in the meantime, and "was actually photographed wearing a watch from the Christian Dior line" at a press event in Austin, Texas, on March 14, 2006.
"Plaintiffs were led to believe and had a right to believe by their written agreement that (Theron) would not promote jewelry or watches," added the documents.
Charlize Theron's representatives were unavailable for comment. [ANI NEWS]
