Brad Pitt's following the lead of his girlfriend Angelina Jolie, who is infamously adorned with about a dozen works of body art.

Brad Pitt has allegedly tattooed a prayer on his back to protect his new family.

The new tattoo, inscribed on Pitt's lower back, is said to be a Sanskrit blessing of protection for his and Angelina Jolie's four-year-old son.

 

Angelina Jolie had a similar tattoo inked into her shoulder shortly after she adopted Maddox. "I asked for it to be done in Buddhist Sanskrit, which is part of [Maddox's] history," said Jolie at the time.

"A tattoo is something permanent when you've made a self-discovery, or something you've come to a conclusion about," Angelina Jolie said.
