Jessica Simpson is in full summer mode, with shorter naturally wavy hair.

The starlet has recently cut off her trademark 18-inch extensions which tended to get to wavy and heavy in hot humid weather.

And for the MAXIM cover she even goes red-head, for the first time ever! Alas, that was just a wig from the line Jessica Simpson is launching with her hairstylist.

"We kept it simple and fresh, working with her natural texture," comments Jessica's hairstylist Ken Paves, according to Life&Style.
